These are one-on-one personal sessions with a qualified psychotherapist conducted over voice or video calls (the choice is yours!). The duration of each session is 45 minutes. Each of our therapists has areas of expertise which can help you find the best fit for your mental health needs. We have specialists psychologists for the following areas of expertise:

Loss of any kind brings a whole new onslaught of emotions. Whether the loss is death, or by a break in a relationship, both are extremely painful and not comparable in their grief. Having your own support system through therapy in your grieving process can significantly ease the heaviness and distress.

Gender identity

Who you really are has little to do with what gender you were assigned at birth. However, being able to live up to the real identity you feel can be difficult to navigate due to societal expectations, stigma, and taboo. Work with our specialist to create a safe space for yourself to discover and grow!

Couples and relationships

Whether you have just started dating, are in a new relationship, married, with kids or exploring a livein arrangement, every couple situation comes with its own set of challenges. Therapy and counselling can make that ride smoother and more enjoyable!

Maternal mental health

Pregnancy and the journey to motherhood isn’t always a cakewalk and just because it is a natural process, it is not a good idea to assume that we have the skills to navigate it! Therapy can provide a holistic support system right from the confusion about conception through pregnancy to the postpartum period.

Anger management

Anger is a very potent emotion. Everyone feels it, but everyone also expresses it differently. If anger has started to get in the way of your life and relationships, you can simply learn how to understand and manage it with scientific psychological techniques.

Low self esteem and self confidence

All our painful experiences have an impact on how we look at ourselves and how much we value ourselves. Therapy for low self esteem involves understanding our self image, finding out about our core beliefs, and then learning how to challenge and rectify those beliefs.

Sexual intimacy and wellness for couples and individuals

In a country like India, exposure to sexual education is rare and the taboo makes it very difficult to have your questions answered accurately. This affects sexual intimacy when you’re trying to have a good relationship. With our coaching you can discover new heights of pleasure and sexual intimacy!

Recovery from past emotional trauma

For an experience to be traumatic, it doesn’t always have to be big. Any experience can turn into trauma if the right ingredients are present, even a breakup! Trauma changes how you feel about yourself, how you look at the world, it can fill you with guilt or shame, and can make it very difficult to trust again. It requires healing processes to help you recover.

If you find yourself worrying all the time, if something as simple as going out with friends causes you to feel restless and cancel at the last minute, if you find it difficult to focus, if you experience mild heart attack-like symptoms sometimes, but nothing comes up in medical tests, if you have been struggling with sleep or digestive problems for years then you might be suffering from anxiety and not know it!

Life transitions

Every life change can be stressful- even ‘good’ ones! Haven’t you felt added stress of receiving a promotion? Haven’t you felt anxious even if you were marrying the love of your life? Even if the news of the arrival of a new baby was joyful, didn’t it cause worry and sleepless nights? Moving to a new city for work is also a big transition. All such changes need an extra boost of new coping tools to help us deal with them with minimal stress!

Obsessive compulsive disorder

If you experience repetitive, intrusive thoughts over and over again, and you find yourself engaging in odd behaviour like counting everything a certain number of times, checking and rechecking, reciting certain words, washing your hands several times, wanting everything in a particular way, hoarding and storing everything you ever find, you may be on the obsessive-compulsive spectrum.

We take a scientific approach to the therapy process. The first session is always a free-flow information gathering where you get centre stage and talk about everything that’s on your mind. At the end of the first session, we create a comprehensive list of the issues that need to be addressed and then we also add relevant tests to gain deeper insight into your subconscious processes (just like a physician prescribes blood tests and other investigations before forming a final impression!). In the second session you will go through a discussion about the analysis of your test results and then mutual goal setting with your therapist to chart the way forward. And from there, it’s a new journey to a better, healthier, happier life!

Couple Therapy / Marriage Counselling / Relationship Counselling

Whether you have been married, in a couple relationship for years, or you’re just experiencing new relationship energy, a romantic relationship is always fertile ground for emotional difficulties. Most of the time, it is assumed that therapy should only be sought in a relationship / marriage when things have reached a verge of breaking - as a last resort. This is a myth! Actually relationship therapy can make the experience of a relationship / marriage more enjoyable, smoothen out rough patches and elevate it from ordinary to extraordinary at any stage of the relationship!

  • Are you about to get married but have a thousand questions running through your mind?
  • Do you wonder if you are making the right decision?
  • Do you worry about sexual and emotional intimacy?
  • Did you get married with a lot of dreams in your eyes but the start seems rocky with arguments and fights and now you’re questioning your decision?
  • Do you feel like you’re on the verge of a divorce?
  • Does it feel like you have tried everything to save your marriage and nothing has worked?
  • Are you reeling from the shock of having discovered your partner’s affair and nothing makes sense anymore?

If you nodded ‘yes’ to any of these questions, couples therapy is something you must try! Contrary to popular belief, couples therapy or marriage counselling is NOT about figuring out who is wrong and right and ‘fix’ the culprit - not even in cases of infidelity! Here’s what actually happens in couples therapy sessions at TEWI:

A safe space for both partners to express themselves

A thorough investigation into what is causing the disconnection

Coaching for learning healthier and kinder ways to respond to each other

Coaching for strategies to reduce conflict and friction and to ‘fight fair’!

Coaching to foster deeper emotional and sexual intimacy

Healing the trauma of infidelity and helping couples figure out the way forward

If separation is unavoidable, then helping couples part ways in a way that doesn’t leave them scarred

Scientific assessments and psychological tests to figure out the intimacy levels and communication patterns

At TEWI we believe that when a couple comes to us, it is the ‘relationship’ that is the actual client and we serve the best interests of the relationship.

Couple therapy sessions are 90 minutes each and are always conducted over video calls because it is important for
The clients and the therapist see and respond to each other in real time.
